cPanel – rsyslogd has failed

You may receive the following error while updating services from WHM -> Service Configuration -> Service Manager:

WHMCS Complete Billing and Support

Waiting for rsyslogd to restart………………………………………………………finished.
rsyslogd has failed, please contact the sysadmin (result was “rsyslog is not running”).

Generally this happens if you enable two logging daemons i.e. syslogd and rsyslogd simultaneously. To resolve this problem, enable only one logging daemon from “Service Manager”.
