Windows 10 was released by Microsoft last year and Microsoft offered free upgrade to Windows 10 for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users. The offer was valid for one year from the initial release of Windows 10. This offer was valid till July 29, 2016.
Many users took the advantage to avoid Windows 10 license fee and upgraded to Windows 10 at free of cost. As on July 29, 2016, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users do not see free upgrade option anymore.
In case if you have missed this upgrade, you can still upgrade to Windows 10 free of cost. Microsoft has still not closed the door for free upgrade. Microsoft offers free upgrade to Windows 10 who use assistive technologies.
“If you use assistive technologies, you can still get the free upgrade offer even after the general public deadline expires as Microsoft continues our efforts to improve the Windows 10 experience for people who use these technologies.” said Microsoft.
If you have not upgraded your Windows 7 or Windows 8.1 system, you still have chance to upgrade to Windows 10. Go to the web page “Windows 10 free upgrade for customers who use assistive technologies” and download Windows 10 upgrade assistance. Once it is downloaded, install it in your system and start the program. Follow the on screen instruction to start upgrade process.
