If you have existing password for your admin account, you can reset your Parallels Plesk admin password from your control panel.
However in case if you have list your Parallels Plesk admin password, you will have to follow the below steps to reset your admin password.
There is a utility plesksrvclient.exe available in Windows Plesk to retrieve an existing password.
The utility can be found in the following locations:
For Plesk 11.5 and previous versions the file is located in the %plesk_bin% folder
For Plesk 12 this utility was moved to the %plesk_dir%\admin\bin\ folder
You can set up a new password by running the following command:
plesksrvclient -set true
You can also retrieve the current password by running the utility with the following command:
To retrieve the password in the command line, use the “-nogui” option:
plesksrvclient -get -nogui > plesk_password.txt
After that, you can find the retrieved Plesk password in the plesk_password.txt file.
To view the password in the command line:
plesksrvclient -get -nogui | more
