Hi,

I am getting the below error in my plesk control panel:

Plesk Error Massage 553 "Message did not Reach Intended Recipients. That Domain isn't in my list of Allowed RCPThosts

Any fix or solution to get rid of it?

Thanks,

Scott

Kevin

Please try below:

- Log in as admin to  your Plesk control panel.
- In the server administration (click "Server" in the menu), click "Mail".
- Select the tab "Maximum letter size and relay mode parameters".
- Check the box "POP 3 lock time"
- Click Set
- Restart psa

Regards,

Kevin

The error message "553 Message did not reach" in the context of Plesk typically indicates an issue with sending or delivering emails. This error is often associated with SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) errors and can occur for various reasons. Here are some common causes and steps to resolve this issue:

Incorrect Recipient Address: Ensure that the email address you are sending to is correctly formatted and valid. Even a small typo can cause delivery issues.

Email Account Quota: If the recipient's mailbox is full and has exceeded its storage quota, new messages cannot be delivered. The sender might receive a bounce-back message indicating that the message could not be delivered.

Recipient's Mail Server Issues: The recipient's mail server might be temporarily down or experiencing issues. In such cases, there's little you can do except wait for the recipient's server to be operational again.

Sender's Domain Blocked: If the recipient's mail server has blocked emails from your domain due to suspected spam or other reasons, your messages might not be delivered. Check if your domain is listed on any email blacklists.

SMTP Authentication Issues: If the email server requires SMTP authentication and you haven't configured it correctly, you might encounter this error. Make sure you've set up the correct authentication credentials.

SMTP Port Configuration: Ensure that you're using the correct SMTP port for sending emails. The standard ports are 25, 587, and 465 (for secure connections).

Firewall or Antivirus Interference: Local firewalls or antivirus software on your computer might block outgoing SMTP connections. Temporarily disabling them or configuring exceptions can help diagnose the issue.

DNS Configuration: Make sure your domain's DNS records, including MX (Mail Exchange) records, are correctly configured. Incorrect DNS settings can lead to email delivery problems.

Reverse DNS (rDNS): Some mail servers perform reverse DNS lookups to verify the legitimacy of incoming emails. Ensure that your server's IP address has a valid reverse DNS entry.

Sender Policy Framework (SPF) and DomainKeys Identified Mail (DKIM): Ensure that your email domain's SPF and DKIM records are properly configured. These are used by recipient servers to verify the authenticity of incoming messages.
