Yes, it is possible to create an application folder through HELM. Follow the below steps to create it:

- Login to the HELM control panel of your domain.
- Go to Domains -> Click on your domain -> Virtual Directories and then click on 'Add New'.
- Enter the path To Virtual Directory, Virtual Directory Name and Physical Folder which you want to make application folder.

Though this thread is old, I decided to add my comment here. So, sorry for disturbing it. When it comes to directories, I would use a website builder. This is the easiest way, I guess. And it doesn't require special skills. There exist several variants. In order to choose a proper one, it is better to look through the reviews. Personally I find that one on https://www.webbuildersguide.com/website-builder-categories/soft-plugins-builders-for-directories/ to be really informative and helpful. Hopefully, this info will be useful for someone.
