i just wanna to ask what application is best for the firewall vps / dedicated server?

is csf (configserver firewall) good enough?

Kailash

For Linux base servers, CSF should be enough but if your server is being attacked, you may need hardware firewall.

Yes, CSF is always good to prevent various attacks. Such as brute force & etc.

There are many firewall applications that you can use on a VPS or dedicated server. Some popular options include:

iptables:
This is a built-in firewall application for Linux systems. It is a powerful tool that allows you to set up incoming and outgoing traffic rules.

UFW (Uncomplicated Firewall):
This user-friendly firewall application for Linux systems makes it easy to set up basic firewall rules.
pfSense: This free, open-source firewall application can be installed on a dedicated server or used as a virtual appliance on a VPS.

Sophos UTM:
This commercial firewall application can be installed on a dedicated server or used as a virtual appliance on a VPS.

It's worth noting that while these firewall applications can help to secure your server, they are not a replacement for proper security practices, such as keeping your operating system and applications up to date and using strong passwords.
