Trouble with sitemap and site crawling.
« on: July 28, 2010, 12:24:26 AM »
Hi all,

I had a site that was working well till a couple of weeks ago. I just checked the Google webmaster tools and realized there were crawl errors. Most of it said URL detail detected. ssss.com/domain name not found. This error is present in both the http as well as the sitemap. Almost all of my visitors land up on this homepage. I checked it personally however, and it seems fine. Some say this might be a temporary situation, and can be fixed once the site is crawled. What do I do? Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks a lot.

Google Sitemaps allows the webmaster to help Google index their pages optimally. The GSiteCrawler will help you generate the best Google Sitemap file for your website. The GSiteCrawler uses different ways to find all the pages in your website and can generate all sorts of files, statistics and more. The sitemaps file format has lately been also adapted by Yahoo! - even MSN/Live.com is pledging it's support.
