WordPress Hosting

Dedicated server : As the name suggest, in dedicated web hosting each website is given dedicated web server, no other website can share this under any case. It is used when a user expects to get huge traffic. It has much greater bandwidth then the shared one so is able to handle traffic with much ease. This is also required if you need to have complex app, secure information and customized option in your website.
The dedicated server type hosting allows the user to have 100% control with 100% responsibility to run their website smooth and consistent performance of their website. Due to this reason this type of web hosting requires proper management to monitor and rectify any problem immediately.

Shared Server : As the name suggest, in shared web hosting many small users upload their website on and run them on same shared server. This is mainly opted by beginners, individuals, and small business and even by organizations. All have very little or low requirement of bandwidth and disk space. This is used when user don't expect much traffic to flow inn.
In shared web server hosting the whole, maintenance of server and organization of server, software installation, security updates etc is managed by website host provider and they are accountable for this too. They use software like Direct Admin, Helm etc as control panels for the overall governance of the server. Most of the shared web server work for Linux OS only as it has got maximum compatible control panels in the market.

Nice info about Shared and Dedicated Server. Most large companies use dedicated servers. It is provide best hosting services. Dedicated for a particular files, shared is just that, it is shared with other people, files. It is more secure. Other people have storage on the same server although it is not like you can see each others files.

Dedicated server: you can use full resources of the server, no other clients are hosted on it except your own

Shared server: mostly it's a sort of "dedicated server" where other small web hosting accounts are hosted. The server resources are shared and you only get a small place on it.
If you want to  get  any type hosting than first get some information about it .

In my opinion dedicated server you can use server resources, no other clients are housed in it, except their own shared server and mostly it is a "dedicated server" in other small web hosting accounts are hosted . Server resources are shared and you only get a small place in it.

Shared Server:

Resource Sharing: In a shared server environment, multiple websites or applications share the same physical server and its resources like CPU, RAM, and disk space.
Cost: Shared hosting is more affordable since the cost is distributed among multiple users.
Performance: The performance of a shared server can be inconsistent and may be affected by other users' activities. If one website experiences a traffic spike or resource-heavy processes, it can slow down other sites hosted on the same server.
Control: Users have limited control over server settings and configurations. The hosting provider manages the server's maintenance, security, and software updates.
Ideal for: Shared hosting is suitable for small websites, personal blogs, or businesses with low to moderate traffic and resource requirements.

Dedicated Server:

Resource Exclusivity: With a dedicated server, you have the entire physical server reserved for your website or application. All the resources are dedicated solely to your use, providing higher performance and reliability.
Cost: Dedicated hosting is more expensive than shared hosting since you are paying for the exclusive use of the entire server.
Performance: Dedicated servers offer superior performance, stability, and faster load times as all resources are allocated to your site or application only.
Control: With a dedicated server, you have full control over the server's configuration, operating system, and software. This level of control allows you to optimize the server for your specific needs.
Ideal for: Dedicated hosting is suitable for large websites, high-traffic applications, e-commerce sites, and businesses with demanding resource requirements. It is also preferred for applications that require strict security and compliance measures.
In summary, shared hosting is a cost-effective option for small websites with low traffic and limited resource needs, while dedicated hosting offers exclusive resources, better performance, and complete control for high-traffic websites and resource-intensive applications. The choice between shared and dedicated hosting depends on your specific requirements, budget, and the level of control and performance you need for your website or application.

shared hosting: When more than one website is stored on the same physical server, this is called "shared hosting." It's easy to use and cheap, and you can count on it.

dedicated hosting: The term "dedicated hosting" comes from the world of web hosting services. It means that a whole hosting server is used to keep a single website up and running. This gives you more security, great uptime, and better performance.

Shared hosting enables a greater number of users, websites, and accounts to be hosted on a single web server than traditional hosting does. Dedicated hosting, on the other hand, refers to the utilization of a single server for the exclusive benefit of a single customer. A shared hosting server and a dedicated hosting server can be thought of as being analogous to an apartment in a multi-family building and a single-family home, respectively.
