Howdy everyone....

I'm new here to Web Hosting Discussion and have a question that I am trying to get some help with.

I have several public facing IP's and cPanel/WHM running in a VM Box, which is accessible throughout the LAN. In addition I have forwarded some ports for FTP from the public facing IP to an IP on the private range. However, when I attempt to access the service, I'm greeted with the my router login page. My understanding is that this is a hair pinning issue with the rv220w? Having checked the CISCO forums, this does appear to be an issue, which apparently hasn't been resolved even through a firmware upgrade.

As a result, does anyone have any suggestions for a respectable router that is up to the task?

Cheers

Hey

Looks like you need to forward HTTP port (which is TCP protocol 80 port) on your router to your local server IP.
Right now your attempts to connect ended up at the router, and you need to forward them to your LAN up to your server!

You also can try to forward some other port, for example, TCP port 8080 to local IP port 80, and then you can connect to your router at http://<your_ip> and to your server at http://<your_ip>:8080!

And you need to be sure that your server firewall allows incoming connections too.
You can see how to add needed rules to iptables here: https://serversuit.com/community/technical-tips/lamp-package-setup.html.
