WordPress error - You cannot delete a plugin while it is active on the main site

I am trying to delete a WordPress plugin from your WordPress admin area but I am receiving the following error:

You cannot delete a plugin while it is active on the main site

Plugin is already disabled but still I am unable to delete it. How can I fix it?

Hi,
You are facing this issue because you are using  "W3 Total Cache" plugin.
So first you have to disabled this plugin and then try to delete your plugin. You will definitely able to delete your plugin.
