The hidden costs of hosting service

I encounter numerous complaints daily regarding hidden hosting costs, such as fees for activating backup features, transferring services between users within the same provider, and more. However, the most unusual charge I've come across is a fee for resending login information for the hosting control panel.
What's the strangest hidden cost you have ever encountered?

I've been with my current host for 10 years, and the price has stayed the same—plus I get unlimited websites, email accounts, and free weekly backups. While they advertise unlimited disk space, I believe the actual disk space limit is around 120 or 150 GB. Realistically, offering things like 2TB disk space on a $2–$2.5/month plan isn't sustainable. There's also an inode limit of 400,000, so once that's reached, we either clean up files or upgrade. In my experience, cheap hosting always comes with hidden limits, "unlimited" is often just a marketing term.

Totally agree—those surprise charges can really catch you off guard. I once had to pay a "manual review" fee just for upgrading my plan. Thankfully, there are still honest providers out there—you just have to look a bit closer.
