ProtonMail's official Import-Export app is only available to paid users, but you can still import MBOX to ProtonMail using a workaround. First, use Advik MBOX Converter to convert your MBOX files into EML format. After conversion, install Mozilla Thunderbird, a free email client. Next, configure ProtonMail Bridge, which securely connects ProtonMail to Thunderbird via IMAP. Once your ProtonMail account appears in Thunderbird, drag and drop the converted EML files into any ProtonMail folder. Thunderbird will automatically sync the emails to your ProtonMail account. This method requires more setup but works well for free accounts.
