You cannot directly import an MBOX file into Exchange Server, so you need a manual workaround process.
Manual Steps:
First, open the MBOX file using an email client like Mozilla Thunderbird. Then import or add the MBOX file so all emails are visible in the mailbox. After that, you need to convert or transfer these emails into a format supported by Exchange, usually PST (Outlook Data File). This is often done by syncing Thunderbird with Outlook or using an export/import method.
Once you have the PST file, open Microsoft Outlook and connect it to your Exchange Server mailbox. Then go to File → Open & Export → Import/Export, select the PST file, and import the emails into the Exchange mailbox. After the import, the emails will appear in your Exchange account.
This manual method works, but it can be time-consuming and complex for large mailboxes. For an easier process, many users prefer tools like the BLR MBOX Converter Tool, which simplifies migration and reduces manual effort.
