Domain Registration / Re: Which domain extension
June 01, 2010, 01:29:16 PM
Hi Mike,
Before selecting any domain, you should know about the importance of the domain name. Domain names are becoming a very important part of our business circles, work environments and personal lives. Choosing an appropriate domain and extension are important parts. The length of a domain name should be short and shouldn't use a hyphen/other special character. For choosing the extension, it would be good to check this list for some helpful suggestions:
.com represents the word "commercial," and is the most widely used extension in the world. Most businesses prefer a .com domain name because it is a highly recognized symbol for having a business presence on the Internet.
.net represents the word "network," and is most commonly used by Internet service providers, web-hosting companies or other businesses that are directly involved in the infrastructure of the Internet. Additionally, some businesses choose domain names with a .net extension for their intranet Websites.
.org represents the word "organization," and is primarily used by non-profits groups or trade associations.
.biz is used for small business websites.
.info is for credible resource Web sites and signifies a "resource" web site. It's the most popular extension beyond .com, .net and .org.
.mobi (short for "mobile") is reserved for Web sites built for easy viewing on mobile devices.

.tv is for rich content/multi-media Web sites, commonly used within the entertainment or media industry.

These days, many region-wide domain extensions also available like .us for USA, .uk for United Kingdom etc. It's important for you to choose an appropriate domain name and extension, as well as your business needs.

QuoteHi,

I want to create round shape corner box using HTML. I couldn't see any in-built HTML tag to create it. Do it need to use CSS to create round shape corner in HTML?

Thanks,

w3school

Hi,
In W3school, this code is not available. In this code, at least four corner images are involved. I found actual code for you across these links:

1) ww.webdevelopersnotes.com/tips/html/html_table_tutorial_rounded_corners.php3

2) ww.dynamicdrive.com/style/csslibrary/item/css3_rounded_corners_using_border_radius/

In the first link, you can get html based code and in the second link you can get the appropriate CSS based code.

Quotehi friend i am having one doubt in dotnet so if anyone can able to help pls
this is my doubt
What is the purpose of Execute scalar method of Command object ?

Hi John,

The "ExecuteScalar" method is used to retrieve a single value from the database. This requires less code than using the "ExecuteReader" method which is used to generate a single value through data returned by SqlDataReader. The method is fast and utilizes less resources from the database.

Hi MichealJack,

Hopefully you have some basic concepts about web design. Try visiting www[.]weebly[.]com , www[.]webnode[.]com.

These websites provide free online web design services and hosting disk space as well. You can simply register your domain and point it back. You can also even add Adsense codes and earn through your website and blogs.

Hi Ahmad,

When looking for a website hosting company, cheap is not always the right choice. You want to make sure that you're going to get good quality service, even if it means paying a little more each month. Many new hosting companies offer low rates but the services are not always good. Many of them shut down quickly due to low turnover. It could be better to compare the price / services between cheap hosting and popular affordable hosting providers. You will easily be able to see the disadvantages of low cost new hosting companies.

Hi Kailash,

Your code is best and I'd recommend going for a "CSS" based solution to it, because of its cross browser compatibility. Also, here's some interesting code:

<head>
<style type="text/css">
A:link {text-decoration: none}
A:visited {text-decoration: none}
A:active {text-decoration: none}
A:hover {text-decoration: underline; color: red;}
</style>
</head>

This CSS hyperlink style will make the font color of all anchor tag links red and it will get "underlined" when the mouse over is performed.

Google / Re: How to Increase PR of site
February 22, 2010, 05:11:09 PM
Hi Jackson,

Affiliate marketing and social networking are popular to promote your website. Try your best to be as specific and relevant as possible for the users. I would suggest not putting too much focus on the green PR, rather work on your marketing to improve traffic.

Hi,

I preferably use Click bank and Link share. Both have high CTR rate and highly-trafficked sites on the online network. Everyday hundreds of publishers connect with these networks and build their business. If you become a part of these networks, you have a chance to set up relationships with some of the most recognized brands in the world. Thus you be able to easily earn more money at home through these networks.

Hi,

I would suggest opening a small business and turn it into an outsourcing company. You must be paying an amount on sites like rentacoder, limeexchange etc. Start saving that by launching your own business, even if it on small scale. Kindly find some business trick providing websites, they could get to meet with the pros direct & free of cost.
