Google / Adsense Down
April 27, 2010, 05:15:46 PM
The Google AdSense website is closed due to disrespect for webmasters, especially those with websites generating less traffic.
We shall reflect upon ourselves before we can open again.

Google / Google’s New Favicon
April 27, 2010, 05:14:06 PM
This is one of the smaller changes to Google – at least if measured in pixels! Google changed their "Favicon.ico", the 16x16 image file that usually shows in the browser address bar or in bookmarks. The old icon used a square with red, green and blue edges, wrapping an upper-case "G". The new logo is a bit more open, showing just the lower-case blue "g" from the Google logo, without borders, and a bit of shadow. To see this, visitGoogle, empty your browser cache and reload the page.
Tony Ruscoe in the forum wonders, "Is Google undergoing a rebranding exercise...?" and adds, "Maybe they're going to be known as 'the little g' rather than 'The Big G' from now on...". Google continues to grow and grow, but one of their self-proclaimed core values is "Think and act like an underdog".

Google / GOOGLE changed ADSENSE display
April 27, 2010, 05:11:02 PM
Google changed their Adsense advertising method last Tuesday which is affecting millions of online campaigns. Many Adsense publishers have seen a "bump" in revenue as a result of Google's advertising changes, while advertisers are complaining of increased costs. Google now implemented a minimum keyword bid based on the "quality" of the keyword. Before if no one else bid on the keyword, you could get away with Google's minimum bid price of $0.05 cents/click. But now with Google's "quality keyword algorithm" you may be forced to pay more even if no one is competing with you for that keyword. Essentially, Google is deciding to raise the minimum keyword price based on their own little secret formula. Google tried to put a positive spin on this by stating that the new changes will also now allow advertisers to resurrect keywords that previously had been disabled because of low click-through performance.
